 "Great smokey mountain" 2009-07-14
By Matt Farrell
This is a great cooker , I've cooked on a lot of smokers and this one is the best.

First cook was 2 pork shoulders and it could not have gone better.

You can dial this in to 225 degrees and it will hold that temp overnight.

Put the pork on at 9 pm and it was ready to shred at 9am. The best part?

I did not have to get out of bed to check on it! Kudos to weber on the WSM !

"So tender we could cut it with a fork" 2009-07-07
By Debra Russell (AR)
I purchased this smoker for my husband for Father's Day. He has had other smokers for years and asked for this one because it was a popular one at a BBQ class he had taken. We have used it twice for brisket, chicken and sausages. The food was tender, juicey and was some of the best tasting meat he has ever cooked and he's been doing this for 25 years!

 "The Best!" 2009-07-05

We use this smoker constantly. There is nothing better on the market - the bigger size is great! Simply the best!

"Excellent smoker - Hard to keep temperature low" 2009-06-13
By K. Scandrett (St. Louis, MO)
Really like the smoker. Two issues: 1) The door doesn't seal tight and lets smoke out and air in. 2) Hard a tough time keeping the temperature in the 200-250 degree range. I suspect that the "leaky" door may be the problem by letting air in even when the other vents are closed.

One suggestion also, the owner's manual says you need about 300 brickquets to cook a rack of ribs. I've only cooked ribs once, but I suspect you could get by with 1/2 that amount.
